First Day Agenda

Hi everyone - and welcome to Adult Ed 12!!!

Agenda for Day 1

EVERYONE MUST CREATE A NEW GMAIL ACCOUNT which they will use for the remainder of their time in Adult 12.

Everyone has 3 Tracks to choose from:
Track 1              Adult 12 
                          High School Diploma 2014-2015
Here are the Provincial Adult 12 requirements.
This is what we offer at BILCN Adult Ed
                          Departmentals
                                         ELA 30A
                                         ELA 30B
                          Non-Departmentals
                                         Workplace and Apprenticeship Math 20
                                         Chem 20                      
                                         Social Studies 30
                                         Prior Learning 30 (elective 30 level)
                                         Entrepreneurship 30 (elective 30 level)

*Please Note - Before you enter into this Track, you need to find out what classes you already have in your transcripts.  Transcripts from Saskatchewan can be obtained online here for a fee - or you can ask Mrs. Stoebich to see if she has your classes taken at CNMS on file.

Track 2              Trades/Career Specific
                          Basic Math - University Prep
                          Basic English - University Prep
                                   Writing Papers

*Please Note - if you plan to pursue a specific career outside of a High School Diploma, please let me know which institution/program you'd like to enter into.  We can work together to achieve the goals needed for entrance.

 Track 3             Education Prep - (University/High School) 
                          Pre-Math
                          Pre-English
                          History
                          ICT - Computers
                          Music
                          Phys Ed
                          Bible (optional)
                          Electrical/Plumbing/Refrigeration

*Due to the nature of this program - the ICT-Computers (Information/Communication Technology) portion is mandatory.

Everyone needs to sign up to one of these 3 Tracks! Please click on the links above to indicate which Track you want to enter.

Daily Routine - Because we have almost 40 people in our group
                    Morning Group
                                This group starts at 9:30am-12:00pm (or sooner)
                    Afternoon Group
                                This group is open at the education building from 1pm-3:30pm (or later)

*Note - Some evenings the Education Building will be open for student use as well.  This will be posted ahead of time.

Community Standards:
This environment is one that will be conducive to learning.  Be respectful of this building, each other, and myself.  Come here when you're ready, willing, and able to learn.  Anyone or thing that gets in the way of this being a healthy learning space will be asked to leave.

As a class, we will discuss the details of what this respect means as the situations arise.  If you're still unsure, please talk to me personally.
